His brain whited out.

"What did you say?"

He stared at the document. His name was on it. Her name was on it.

His eyes went bloodshot before he could get the next word out.

"There's no way. I never agreed. How could she have finalized a divorce by herself?"

First reaction: fake.

He had never once agreed to a divorce. Whatever this was, Sera had done it to make a point.

She was angry. She was trying to scare him.

That had to be it.

His breathing steadied. He pulled himself together.

"None of this is real."

"Find her. I don't care what you do. I want her back."

The estate manager nodded and went.
