Vivienne's original malpractice story had broken wide open.

One-handed surgery as a bet. A drug she'd tried to use on the victim afterward to clean up the evidence. Then killing the victim's daughter to protect her own career.

"She should rot."

"Where is she. Bring her out. Put her in a cell."

The internet was hunting her.

Vivienne was chained in a basement, watching TV anchors call for her death. She tried to wrap her arms around herself — and remembered her hands didn't work anymore.

A surgeon without her hands.

Her career was over. Her life was over.

"No — I didn't do anything wrong — I didn't —"

"Because of two worthless lives, Damien, you would do this to me —"

"Let me out! Damien! You can't do this to me!"
