On my daughter's death anniversary, I was six months pregnant when rogues attacked me near the pack border.

The pack healer asked me to call my mate to authorize the emergency treatment.

I endured the pain and sent desperate mind-link calls to Alpha Kaelen, but he never responded.

Ten minutes later, I lost my second pup and my wolf went silent.

When I woke up in the pack's healing den, I opened my phone and saw a post on my mother-in-law's social media.

The photo showed a happy family of four.

After hanging up, I looked at the box containing my pup's remains and cried silently.

"Alpha Kaelen, it's not that I'm being too greedy. It's just that too many people were involved back then. If these people don't keep quiet, we'll be in trouble."
