Seeing Elara really leave, Lyra felt as if a huge piece was missing from her heart.

Seraphina supported Lyra from behind. "Mom, don't worry. Sister doesn't want you anymore, but I'll stay by your side forever."

Seraphina's words were like a silver blade, stabbing into Lyra's heart once again.

For the first time, Lyra began to waver and asked herself: "Was it really worth it to fight with my own biological daughter like this for Seraphina's sake?"

Kaelen had suffered serious leg injuries from the silver bullet. The Vance family sent people to take him to the pack healing den.

In the healing den, Kaelen was still unconscious. The Vance family asked Seraphina to take care of him at the healing facility.

Although Seraphina was at the healing den, her mind wasn't on Kaelen at all.

She had tried to seduce Kaelen before because she thought he was a high-quality Alpha. Now he had become a cripple.

Who would want to live with a crippled Alpha?

Seraphina's mind was filled with images of Damien's handsome and powerful appearance as the Alpha King.

No, she couldn't waste any more time on Kaelen. She had to go find Damien!

Just as Seraphina stood up, Kaelen woke up.

"Seraphina, have you been taking care of me this whole time?" Kaelen's face was pale, and he looked extremely weak.

Seraphina stopped in her tracks and put on a fake expression. "Alpha Kaelen, I've been taking care of you the whole time. How are you feeling now?"

Even if she was going to seduce Damien, she couldn't offend Kaelen right now.

No matter how useless Kaelen was, he still had the Croft family behind him. He could serve as a backup plan.

Kaelen tried to prop himself up with his arms. The moment he moved slightly, it pulled at his wound, causing him to break out in cold sweat from the pain.

Seraphina stepped forward to support him, looking heartbroken. "Alpha Kaelen, Healer Elias said the silver bullet hit your main artery directly, and your bone is damaged too. You might have some trouble walking in the future."

Instantly, Kaelen's face turned white. "Are you saying I'll be a cripple from now on?"

Seraphina added fuel to the fire: "From what the healer said, it seems so."

"But don't worry, Alpha Kaelen. I won't look down on you. You'll always be my Alpha, and I'll take care of you."

"If we're going to blame anyone, we should blame Sister and that Alpha King for being so ruthless!"

At the mention of Elara, Kaelen's pale face finally showed a trace of emotion. His voice was hoarse: "This has nothing to do with Elara. It's Damien's fault."

Kaelen frowned slightly. He had just said this matter had nothing to do with Elara. Why was she still saying this?

He thought Genevieve would hate Elara and the others, but instead she directly slapped Seraphina across the face.

"Seraphina Vance, it's you again!"

"Years ago, you were obsessed with seducing my son, then you suddenly ran away before the intended mating ceremony."

"After Elara bonded into our family, their life together kept getting better, and then you, this shameless woman, showed up again!"

"Now you're pushing the blame onto others. If it weren't for you, how would my son and Elara have gotten to this point!"

Seraphina was stunned by the slap. She wanted to fight back, but then remembered this was Kaelen's mother.

The Croft family was also a powerful pack family. She couldn't afford to offend them.

Kaelen frowned. "Mother, this has nothing to do with Seraphina. You..."

"You shut up too! You blind fool, couldn't you see how good Elara has been to you all these years? You actually went and had an affair. You're really something!"

"Kaelen Croft, let me tell you something. Either you get Elara back, or you and this woman can get lost together! The Croft family will never let a woman of unknown origin become our pack's Luna!"

After venting her anger, Genevieve stormed out of the healing den furiously, not even asking about Kaelen's condition.
