In the pack healing den, Kaelen fell into deep thought, his expression heavy.

"Seraphina, my mother has a bad temper. Please bear with her."

"She's always liked Elara. Now that Elara has left, she's naturally upset."

Seraphina clenched her fists tightly, but kept a smile on her face. "It's fine. Luna Genevieve is an elder. I won't argue with her."

Seeing how understanding Seraphina was, Kaelen felt somewhat guilty.

Though he still had feelings for Elara, he knew she no longer belonged to him.

He had already hurt one woman. He wouldn't hurt a second one.

"Seraphina, once I'm discharged, let's complete our mating ceremony. Don't worry, I'll take responsibility for you."

This one sentence left Seraphina completely stunned.
