Chapter 13
Chapter 13
Alistair was left speechless by the questioning, unable to find words to respond.
Seraphina said, "Sister, we're both juniors here. We shouldn't speak to Father like that."
"Seraphina, shut your mouth!"
I shot her a sharp glare and sneered, "Now you know about respecting elders? Where was your sense of shame when you climbed into your mate's bed?"
Seraphina's face went pale. She never expected the usually gentle me to suddenly turn and bite back.
"Sister, I..."
I spat on the ground. "Don't disgust me. What kind of sister am I to you? Do we share any blood?"
"Your mother was an omega servant. You're nothing but a cuckoo in the nest. Giving you the identity of the Vance family's daughter was out of pity. Don't get too full of yourself or forget your place!"
"If your mother hadn't pulled her tricks back then, you'd just be a servant in the Vance household now. What gives you the right to call me sister?"
"What are you anyway?"
My words left everyone stunned.
Was this still the weak Elara they remembered?
I had always had little presence in the Vance family. Even ordinary pack members didn't take me seriously because I was easy to bully.
But now I seemed like a completely different person.
Kaelen also found me strange, yet he liked this version of me.
The previous Elara had always been submissive around him, never bothered to dress up, and was utterly boring.
But this Elara radiated light, impossible to ignore.
Kaelen stood up and unconsciously walked to my side.
"Elara, I..."
Before the man could touch me, I slapped his hand away, my gaze ice-cold. "Kaelen, don't touch me with those dirty hands."
"With all the she-wolves in the world, you just had to sleep with Seraphina. Are you trying to disgust me on purpose?"
Kaelen instinctively tried to explain, "Elara, it's not like that. She came to me, I..."
Seraphina had already lost all face. With Alistair and Lyra still here, she couldn't afford to be humiliated further.
"Alpha Kaelen, what are you saying!"
Kaelen snapped back to his senses, somewhat shocked by what he had just said.
Didn't he care most about Seraphina? Those words, once spoken, would be a fatal blow to Seraphina.
Watching Kaelen waver between the two women, my smile grew even more mocking.
I must have been blind back then to mistake this kind of person for my savior.
Lyra asked coldly, "Elara, what did you mean by those words? What do you mean Seraphina got into her brother-in-law's bed?"
I explained word by word, "Your precious Seraphina seduced my mate the moment she returned to the pack."
"Oh wait, I should say ex-mate now."
"Once unfaithful, always unfaithful. Since Seraphina likes this kind of trash, you can have him."
Kaelen's expression grew darker and darker.
Seraphina was too ashamed to lift her head.
Lyra was shocked at first, but seeing Seraphina crying, she couldn't help but feel sorry for her.
Seraphina knelt on the ground, crying pitifully. Anyone who didn't know better would think I had bullied her.
"Father, Mother, I'm sorry. I've brought shame to you, but I really can't forget Alpha Kaelen."
Lyra swallowed the harsh words that had reached her lips, which finally turned into a helpless sigh.
"You foolish child, how could you be so confused!"
Lyra looked at me with difficulty. "Elara, this is indeed your sister's fault. She's still young and doesn't understand. As her older sister, don't hold it against her. We're all family. Why make things so ugly?"
